AWARD WINNING...
Here at Midland Snacks we love our hand cooked scratching’s, but then we could be biased so don’t just take our word for it! In 2019 the Guild of Fine Foods awarded us a 2-star Great Taste award which, in their words, is for “a food deemed to be above and beyond delicious”.
We found this deliciously moreish and we all agreed they are the best pork scratchings we have had. Really a wow!
A good porky nose, random pieces which we love. The first one we try is crunchy throughout and very delicious, we go back for more - the second piece has a slightly fudgy layer of fat and then the crunch of crackling - again delicious.
The balance of salt is very good. There's a nuttiness to the crackling, umami savouriness and almost a touch of mushroom.
The fat is soft and tasty, real melt in the mouth stuff. We like the overall texture, the combination of crunch and soft, clean in the mouth, (No hairs!)
Retaining a porky flavour with a pleasing contrast of textures between the fat and skin - this salty snack is rather moreish
